clothes

Today I am grateful for knee-high socks. So very warm when walking across the parking lot...

While I've gained back a bit of the weight I lost being pregnant, it seems I'm still losing inches. I've given up on a pair of pants in the last 2 weeks for failing my standard "too big for a belt" test, wherein the pants are removable without unbuttoning or unzipping. I know they weren't that big when I came back to work in August, because every pair of pants I owned was subjected to this test the week before. I've also given up two knit tops, on the realization that they needed to be taken in about 6-8" to be flattering, and that was just not going to happen. Even my favorite jeans, new last Christmas, are big enough on me now to require a belt.

stupid pants

I need to re-home two pairs of chinos from Avenue, both brown-ish, size 16W.

I like these pants. But they water-spot, which is a problem when dealing with breast milk on a daily basis. If I get milk on me, and blot it with water, the water leaves spots (and if I don't blot them, the milk leaves spots *and* smells like stale breastmilk).

sometimes, all it takes is a good pair of jeans

I bought a pair of maternity jeans on my shopping stint Wednesday after being released from bed rest. It was a short trip, only about 90 minutes plus lunch, but after being confined to the house 4 days straight, I needed out. Besides, that's really about the extent of the shopping I can stand at one stretch.
