I didn't manage to get out of going to Canada next week. What a shame. This may end up being a two day trip, which will suck.
Back from Notacon.
I'm getting too old (and/or too pregnant) for the all night party scene, but there was still much interesting stuff going on through the day.
A little overwhelming for me at the beginning, but then most large gatherings of people are.
I need more sleep - I napped every day and went to bed at a decent hour, and still didn't get enough sleep. How much of this is attributable to being pregnant, and how much to people overload is unclear, and really doesn't matter that much, I suppose.
And I now have an tech class amateur radio license - I should have my call sign in a week or so, though I have no equipment to play with.
Ah well. All in all, an entertaining weekend.
Tomorrow I'm off to visit Canada, our neighbors to the North...except that I'm driving south and then east to get there, so I dunno why we always refer to them as our neighbors to the north.
Unfortunately, I have to be on the road no later than 7 (and preferably before) to make it there to see the first car on the frame line - and since there were issues on the two cars they built today, being there is even more important than just going to see things.
It's just a day trip, and it's a working trip, so it's likely that I'll be incommunicado until I get back.
Here's hoping that today's generally achy joint thing gives up after I go to bed - a 2+ hour drive there, hiking around the plant, and a 2+ hour drive back would not be fun like this.
