So, today ended up with 4 appointments: the local daycare who might be interested in classes, dropping off fliers at a second daycare that's definitely interested in classes, the baby shower registration, and a chiropractic wellness center that is interested in hosting classes.
The first place, the director who was supposed to be there "just missed me" - though her staff makes it sound like she's never there at 8. She eventually called, and then I called back and left a message and I still haven't heard from her.
The second place was basically run in and drop off the fliers, so no big deal.
customers who are incapable of correctly reading a UPS tracking report just need to fall over dead from being stupid.
as sent to our business email list yesterday:
QuickSilver Dragon Wholesale - Important Announcement
After much contemplation of where we are and what we want for the future,
we've made the difficult decision to shut down most of QuickSilver
Dragon's operations. In large part, this is a decision based on time - we
spend most of our available time on the business, and barely keep up, and
it's become clear to us that we'd much rather spend that time with the
baby we are expecting this fall.
We realize this will be an inconvenience to many of you. In order to give
you time to update your websites, the last day we will accept orders is
April 30. Between now and then, we will be working to ensure our inventory
yes, because you can't read the rules of placing orders, which are linked to on every stinking page of our website this is all my fault.
Besides....why exactly would you use your retail customer's paypal account to send payment for a *wholesale* drop-ship order? Now that I've contemplated this, it sounds fishy to me.
I should just stop being nice by explaining the rules and telling people that we will work with them. Instead, I'll just immediately email these idiots to say their orders are canceled. Much less stress for me.

The husband ended up working late - it's 8 pm and he's still at work. Guess I ought to get dinner, and figure out what I'm doing with the time left before I head to bed.
I have a 4" thick stack of greeting cards to fold, and that's not all of the cards that have been ordered and thus need to be printed and folded.
*sigh*
I need time to think out of the box on how to streamline the business so we can be more efficient and process more orders in the same amount of time.
Then again, I need time to do that, and most of my time other than work and sleep is being spent on orders.
