Seen on the back of a semi on my way home:
This unit travels at 100 km/h (when posted). If driver exceeds this speed, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx
So...what speed does it go when the speed limit is less than 100 km/h?
Hahaha, the joke's on me. We're not done making changes yet, are we? Nope, and this one's gonna be a mess. Better in the end, but a mess to get there.
Ah well. Be careful what you wish for; the Gods have a really fucked up sense of humor, and a rather twisted sense of how to define most words in the English language.
Back from Notacon.
I'm getting too old (and/or too pregnant) for the all night party scene, but there was still much interesting stuff going on through the day.
A little overwhelming for me at the beginning, but then most large gatherings of people are.
I need more sleep - I napped every day and went to bed at a decent hour, and still didn't get enough sleep. How much of this is attributable to being pregnant, and how much to people overload is unclear, and really doesn't matter that much, I suppose.
And I now have an tech class amateur radio license - I should have my call sign in a week or so, though I have no equipment to play with.
Ah well. All in all, an entertaining weekend.
yes, because you can't read the rules of placing orders, which are linked to on every stinking page of our website this is all my fault.
Besides....why exactly would you use your retail customer's paypal account to send payment for a *wholesale* drop-ship order? Now that I've contemplated this, it sounds fishy to me.
I should just stop being nice by explaining the rules and telling people that we will work with them. Instead, I'll just immediately email these idiots to say their orders are canceled. Much less stress for me.

The husband ended up working late - it's 8 pm and he's still at work. Guess I ought to get dinner, and figure out what I'm doing with the time left before I head to bed.
The last couple days have been kinda rough, emotionally speaking. I know it's the hormones and the stress of this week; doesn't make it any easier.
Today's exercise: 40 minutes of hiking through the parking lot, looking for a car that wasn't where it belonged. The good news is that I can now say I've driven a police car. Besides the hose-out-plastic interior...it's like trying to put a jet on a house and fly it. Lots of power...but it drives like a brick.
Tomorrow I'm off to visit a supplier to review their process; Friday we're heading to Notacon, and Monday we have the day off to catch up on work stuff.
It's another day off. This is good, because I didn't get everything done on my last day off :-)
Today's main focus is re-hennaing my hair, and doing the taxes.

I'm right at 2 months overdue for henna. Things were just too busy to get it done. I guess the good news is that there's now enough henna in the freezer for me to do all of my hair from frozen next time - I'm out of powder anyway.
I had discovered early on that if the henna is too runny, it's messy to put on; I discovered today that too thick is not really any better.
I've got an hour or so before I give in and go scrub it all out - it's easier to wash out if I let it dry more before doing so.

You can tell that you really need a day off when, the morning of your day off, the motivation to start on the list of "shit I need to get done on my next day off" is non-existant.
However, other than the taxes and starting dinner (and starting the henna for my hair, which may wait until Sunday night, given the way this weekend's schedule is working out), I've gotten the whole list completed.
I'm fighting a migraine, which I'm sure is adding to the lack of motivation. But Ive gotten cat food, picked up my glasses, dealt with the car, started a load of laundry (with load two going in shortly) and had both breakfast and lunch.

Traffic sucked today. Two major accidents between me and work, so I ended up taking surface streets.
I got my new laptop. I hate the keyboard. I need to call the help desk to figure out why my wireless access doesn't work.
The van is in the shop. It's likely they'll send us all home early today, given that we have a 4 day weekend, and not having a vehicle will make that an issue. Ah well.
