an odd day

So, today ended up with 4 appointments: the local daycare who might be interested in classes, dropping off fliers at a second daycare that's definitely interested in classes, the baby shower registration, and a chiropractic wellness center that is interested in hosting classes.

The first place, the director who was supposed to be there "just missed me" - though her staff makes it sound like she's never there at 8. She eventually called, and then I called back and left a message and I still haven't heard from her.

The second place was basically run in and drop off the fliers, so no big deal.

The baby shower was in an odd location, though I did find it fairly easily. The shower actually made the news, but the directions and address were vague. There were all of about 6 young women who showed up, for various reasons - a lot less than the 30 they wanted for the first shower, and only a tiny fraction of the 100 they're registering for the second.

At least B brought me a cherry limeade from the new Sonic in Mt Clemens at lunch.

The only thing that went as planned today was stopping by the chiro's office. It's better than I could have imagined, and while I still need to call the owner tomorrow for a final approval and a bit of discussion, I think it'll be great. Close to home too, so I can do early evening classes.

At any rate. Things are just odd today, and I'm not sure what to think overall. It was nice to have a day away from work though, even if it didn't come with extra sleep.
