Kadiera's Playground Cute but Evil - it averages out

Alexander is now just a few ounces shy of being 4 times his birth weight - he's gained like a half pound this week.

Which means that I am *really* far behind on milk now. He's gone from getting right at 9 ounces a day to almost 12 ounces - and I have been stuck at 8-9 ounces of production for the last month.

My boss blew off a review of my first draft of "our" SAE paper. Which sucks, because first drafts are due to SAE by the end of the month.

Been talking with the diaper lady today about diaper services and why new spiffy diapers can't be used by services. Beyond the cost issue, and the voiding of warranties for most manufacturers by not washing every 3 days, her testing with the state says that at a week, an all-in-one is un-cleanable and still has toxic levels of bacteria.

I'm contemplating why that would be. Is it that the waterproof layer causes an issue (if so, why wouldn't a soggy stack of plain diapers still have issues)? Is it that the extra-absorbent materials that are used allow extra microbic growth (and if so, are they really safe even if you wash every couple of days)?

Most diaper companies recommend "dry pail" methods these days, so that kids don't drown in the diaper pail full of water, so it changes the way things react, I suppose.

We've got a rather busy weekend planned, but I think I'll take my new eeePC along, so I can write some stuff here and there.

Second appointment with the new therapist is Tuesday, and that seems to be going well, so here's hoping.
