I wrote a piece a while back on how I'm a bad Pagan.
Apparently I need to add to this list again.
Today I got told that I'm a bad Pagan because I'm not planning to be a stay at home mommy. I've now been informed that, regardless of the reasons one might choose to do otherwise, mothers should give up all aspects of their pre-child life because it's the most natural thing to do.
I question this on general principles. Women have always done what was necessary - I suspect even in the so-called perfect matriarchal societies - which means sometimes working, sometimes leaving children in the care of others, and sometimes realizing that one's own sanity requires having a life outside of one's home.
But that's just me, and we've already established that I'm a bad Pagan, so it's really not new news....

Pffft! Who gives a damn what the idiots think, darlin'. You walk your walk. That's what is going to matter as you raise the child you've waited and worked for so long and so hard.
