The rules here...

In general, I write a lot. Feel free to subscribe to a feed (there should be links somewhere on the main page) and read from your favorite aggregator.

I write a lot about general things going on in life. I write about writing, religion, relationships, the cats, things that irritate me, things that amuse me, and anything else that comes to mind.

I have a few filters - polyamory, kink, Pagan stuff - that you can ask to be on. I have a few filters that are basically friends only or subsets of friends. To read a filter here, you have to create an account. Baby stuff is mostly over at sprog.quicksilverdragon.com, but occasionally it sneaks in here too. Pagan stuff is also often posted at janetcallahan.com - but moderately rambling stuff that I haven't figured out what to do with ends up on the Pagan filter here.

Largely, I'm a LiveJournal refugee. I'm tired of worrying about who's got all my data, what they're going to decide I can't say next, how many ads I'm going to have to see to read the next post, and so on and so forth.

The benefit of having my own site is that I can play with things - I can add features I feel like adding, change layouts whenever I feel like it, and so on. I can create sub-folders for other projects as it suits me.

In short though, the rules here are that I make the rules. It's my playground, and if you don't like it, take your ball and go home. :-)

Also, if you're interested in finding out how you too can escape from LJ into your own blog, email me - I can tell you how to yank all your LJ entries, and import them into Wordpress or Drupal.
