I will endeavor to keep this list of filters up to date right here, so it won't get lost.
Not all of these have posts at this point; I assume they will at some point, but no posting frequency is promised. Comment on the site (http://kadiera.quicksilverdragon.com ) to be added to filters; you must have an account there and read them there, or in an RSS reader that allows authentication, to read them.
polyamory - there hasn't been much to say on this topic lately, but every once in a while things have come up for discusison.
kink - I think I've posted exactly one post in my entire blogging career on kink-related subjects, and that was a public post. But just in case I decide to talk, it's here.
In general, I write a lot. Feel free to subscribe to a feed (there should be links somewhere on the main page) and read from your favorite aggregator.
I write a lot about general things going on in life. I write about writing, religion, relationships, the cats, things that irritate me, things that amuse me, and anything else that comes to mind.
On a story about the new administration and pundits who are advising what to do with the Homeland Security Department:
"We can't child-proof our way out of this problem," where "child-proof" referred to more guards, more x-ray machines, more checks of drivers licenses, and so on.
Alex is doing fabulously on the vent, and they're working on getting him down to the point where the vent doesn't breathe at all unless he breathes deeply enough to trigger it. He's so much happier it's hard to explain.
My mom has been in the hospital twice in the last month with heart issues. First her heart beat was too fast, then apparently the meds for that worked too well, and her heart rate dropped way too low. She's supposed to have a catheterization next week, along with wearing a monitor to check the electrical action.
Lexapro helps. It's not perfect, but it's manageable this way, and I'm not a zombie.
Today I am grateful for knee-high socks. So very warm when walking across the parking lot...
While I've gained back a bit of the weight I lost being pregnant, it seems I'm still losing inches. I've given up on a pair of pants in the last 2 weeks for failing my standard "too big for a belt" test, wherein the pants are removable without unbuttoning or unzipping. I know they weren't that big when I came back to work in August, because every pair of pants I owned was subjected to this test the week before. I've also given up two knit tops, on the realization that they needed to be taken in about 6-8" to be flattering, and that was just not going to happen. Even my favorite jeans, new last Christmas, are big enough on me now to require a belt.
apparently I've been reduced to secretary, typing up minutes for meetings for my boss because he's so bad at it.
I get paid how much for this?
I think I've found this year's cards....

...there are other good ones on this site, but this is the one that led me to the site to begin with.
Alex is scheduled for surgery at 7:30 am tomorrow.

Apparently there's a study published this week that shows that women diagnosed with migraines have a 30% lower risk of breast cancer than those without.
The theory is that both have hormonal components, and migraines tend to follow points where the woman's estrogen is lowest, so combined with the fact that many breast cancers are worse with higher estrogen may suggest that these women naturally have a lower baseline for estrogen levels.
...although I think they might disturb his future occupational and/or physical therapists.
